OSF Celebrates Shakespeare with Parody Songs

Did you know that this year is the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's legacy?  Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616, and 400 years later, he has more influence than ever.

The Shakespeare Theatre Association of America is celebrating Will's life on their We Are Shakespeare web page, and everyone can contribute!

Simply use that smartphone and film yourself reciting a monologue or sonnet, get your bff and read a scene, sing a song, dance a dance, or just tell the camera why you love Shakespeare.  Then upload your 3-minute-or-less video here.

While you are there, check out the other awesome videos already posted in their gallery.

Ohio Shakespeare Festival has contributed two of our beloved parodies to help show that the Bard is not for an age, but for all time.  See our parody videos of "Iambic Pentameter" and "Check to Make Sure (That She Died)" here!  (Fun for use in the classroom, too!)
