March 2-18, 2018

We bring to the Henry C. Bishop Stage the grandfather of comedy: Molière.  Two young lovers fall in love with two penniless and beautiful women.  Two old fathers won’t agree to anything but a high-born match.  Enter Scapin, the crafty servant, who can scheme his way into (and out of) any situation…especially when there is money involved.  If you love Shakespeare’s funniest scripts, we guarantee you’ll love Moliere…maybe more!

Prince Charles has spent his entire life in a state of waiting.  But now, Queen Elizabeth II has passed away, and the erstwhile prince finally receives his chance to ascend the British throne. His idealism is put to the test almost immediately, and the popularity of Prince William and Princess Kate proves threatening.  This Olivier award-winning script is written in the style of a Shakespearean history play, and will challenge the audience to wonder: is there room for idealism in the modern political world?
