Shakespeare's Teaching Tool Kit

August 5 & 6

12:00-3:00 BOTH DAYS

Make Shakespeare come alive in your class room.  Teachers can take this workshop to discover easy, interactive, and fun ways to introduce theirs students to the Bard. OSF will provide you with the lessons, games, and interactive workshops that we use to engage our own students--plus, you'll walk out with study guides and other materials for some of Shakespeare's most studied scripts. Don't make your kids read Shakespeare...let them experience it!  The materials covered in the course are suitable for grades 6 and beyond.

This class costs $125 for two days (six hours) training.  The extra $25 beyond our normal registration fee is for printed materials.  If you do not wish to have full color study guides and lesson plans, use code NOPRINT at checkout to avoid the fee.

Shakespeare's magical scenes

August 12 & 13

12:00-3:00 BOTH DAYS

Explore the other worldly creatures that make up some of the Bard’s best work: faeries, elves, witches, ghosts, and gods!  With teachers Tess Burgler and Katie Zarecki, students will step into these magical beings as they explore new ways to move their bodies, enhance their focus, and alter their speech through Shakespeare’s most riveting scenes.  Students will build confidence through body awareness, exploring new planes of speech and movement, and stepping outside the self to become something...magical!  Best for ages 9-12.
